The Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering

at the University of Rhode Island

Being the home of the faculty and students of the College of Engineering since August 2020, the Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering (FCAE) is one of the most technologically advanced facilities in the United States. With the generous support of bond issues totaling $150 million from Rhode Islanders, FCAE features 190,000+ square feet of research, classroom, and student space. All-glass walls provide a showcase of the research within the building. With more than $15 million dedicated to core laboratory equipment, some of which are unique in the Northeast, FCAE embraces URIer’s boldness to “Think Big” in interdisciplinary collaboration and equipment essential to forward-looking research. The main entrance opens onto the vast, student-oriented open space that includes a café, a maker space, computer labs, and rooms for capstone projects.
